I work in scientific informatics at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA. My work mostly involves ruby, os x, linux, distributed processing and virtualization. I am interested in the application of technology and informatics to traditional scientific research problems. My work largely centers around biodiversity informatics and I work closely with the Encyclopedia of Life, the Biodiversity Heritage Library and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility.
